Regarding the building of the mosque at ground...
…just to toss in another perspective…did you know that throughout history, Islam has done this? Each time there is a location where a perceived substantial “victory” occurs, they build a memorial to commemorate and elevate the event into their history books as well as to establish power over their victims.
Below are some excerpts from Justin Quinn’s recent blog which I, for the most...
My tournament this weekend...
I played the table tennis tournament in Hutchinson this weekend and didn’t win, (didn’t even dream of it!) but did get my first national rating number. (It’s not a “ranking”, it’s actually a “rating” used in tournaments to help place players in a well-balanced bracket. That way you don’t have the top players “duking it out” in the...

Work to Earn, not to Learn...revised
I wanted to clarify a post I had up last week. It was actually Robert Kyosaki who quoted, “Work to learn, not to earn”. (And not Michael Gerber of the E-Myth as I stated) I have been reading so many great books lately that I mixed the two up. The point being that you prayerfully target the goal of what you are called to do with your career purpose in life and to not just work for a...

Please help me pass the word around. I'm starting...
Most of you already know that I work full time for Sprint but what you may not be aware of, is the fact that I spent over 20 years in the hardwood floor industry prior to moving into technical sales. With that in mind, I need your help getting the word out about an enterprise I’ve begun. I have recently started up a side business called “Accountable Hardwoods” which will offer a...

The real suffering...
The common focus only on the intense pain and suffering of Christ’s “physical crucifixion” is only the tip of the iceberg. You have to add in the fact that His ultimate suffering was far more about taking upon Himself the unfathomable burden of the sins of the entire world, as well as a temporary separation from his Father. Other men have endured a similar pain of physical crucifixion but no one...

Week 4 - Day 3 Plyo Cardio
After a brief hiatus, we’re back on! Between daily 1 to 1.5 hrs of table tennis, (Sometmes 3hrs at the club in the evening!) Power Maxx class with Marc Wayne, and then doing the Insanity Workout, it was just too much. We haven’t skipped any of Shawn’s workouts, just put a few days in between them.
I think I’ve discovered that it’s the table tennis causing my calves...

Here’s a short vid of Anne in the last 10 sec of today’s workout. She still finished strong.
Week 3- Day 1 (The Fitness assessment!)
Yes…Yes…Yes!!!!! I am blown away to see my actuall progress at the end of 2 weeks. Overall I had a 25% increase across all 8 fitness criteria. I can’t hardly believe it. To top it off, I played an hour of table tennis over lunch, attended Marc Wayne’s Power Maxx class (and was wiped after that…) then did the assessment. You’re technically supposed to do the...
Week 2- Day 4&5
Cardio recovery (week 2 - day 4) is such a relief. It comes at you at just the right time to allow you to not overdo it and blow out your body into complete duress.
Last night (Week 2- Day 5) Anne and I completed Cardio Power and Resistance for the 3rd time. I actually felt very strong going through it and have decided it’s my favorite so far. We are really having to choreograph the timing...
Week 2- Day 3 Cardio Circuit
Okay, I’m still dripping as I write this. I have just finished my 3rd workout of the day! 1) a solid hour of non-stop table tennis over lunch with my friends at Sprint (About 8 of us who are very serious about the game and dress for the occasion. I was dripping when I finished that too!) 2) Power Max class with Marc Wayne at The Culture House, and 3) The Cardio Circuit “Insanity”...
Week 2- Day 2 of Insanity
Today was the Pure Cardio workout and since I had to do Cardio Resistance last night, instead of in the morning, my body really hasn’t had a full amount of time to recover. (only 12 hrs since the last workout.) I knew I’d have to cut back a bit to survive but I was still able to push through the bulk of it without too much compromise.
The soreness is beginning to subside but...
Week 2- Day 1
This was a great one, Cardio Resistance. It may be my favorite so far. I am actually starting to see my strength improve and was able to do most of the warmup without stopping as well as push a lot harder through most of the workout. My body still doesn’t look much different to me but hey, I definitely do feel stronger and more energized.
Week 1- Day 5 of the Insanity Workout
Whew, Not only am I feeling the effects of close to 3 hours of snow shoveling yesterday… but now day 5 is kicking my backside. The Pure Cardio workout is a tough one! It just feels like non-stop 85% plus pushing through the entire workout. (yes, he does give breaks but you need a lot more. :) It’s obvious that they make it tougher than anyone can handle and you are supposed to take...
Week 1- Day 4 of the Insanity Workout
Ahhhh! The joys of the Cardio Recovery workout~
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a workout but there’s a lot more stretching and more yoga-like exercises. A great reprieve from the “Insanity” of the earlier workouts of the week.
Now it was still tough on me but you have to add in the fact that Anna and I shoveled snow for 2 hours solid! (including several drifts up to...
Week 1- Day 3: Hello pain, I haven't seen you in a...
Woke up this morning and my calves were so sore I could barely walk down steps without cringing. Shoulders are still pretty tender and triceps are very tight too. The rest of me is beginning to settle down though.
Last night I had to do a slightly modified version of the workout (besides having to step out and rest a half dozen times, for about 7 or 8 sec.) by bracing my arms on my knees as I...
Week 1- Day 2
Okay, the Plyo-cardio circuit kicked my butt. I’m totally wiped but Anna and I still jumped up and down with excitement when we finished it. I WILL do this!
Day off from Insanity
It’s Sunday, and an off day. Slightly sore from the fit test yesterday but nothing major. Looking forward to tomorrow mornings workout with Anna…We’ll see how I feel afterward…
The girls performed this dance on New Years Eve at the Ritz Charles. Too fun!
